The event is an off road run / bike / run event held in the beautiful Astley Park, located in Chorley Town Centre (near Pavilion in centre of park), with all sections being completed on grass.
The event, now in its 4th successive year, is a regular part of the North West Junior Triathlon Series, and will also include races suitable for those new to Duathlon, Chorley Schools Championships events, and an adult race.
All races will be chip timed, with the exception of the Youngsters. All young people competing in individual races will receive an event medal, and those competing in the Chorley School Team events will be eligible for SSP prizes.
Event Listings
Any bike type is permitted (however, it is advised to consider weather conditions on the day given the race is completed on grass). Helmets must be worn, and bikes must be in a road worthy condition. The onsite Bike check area is organised by Chorley Cycling Club, with support from local businesses, The Bike Cabin and Pedals and Spokes.
The event in organised by Chorley Athletic & Triathlon Club, and is run with the support of Chorley School Sport Partnership (SSP), Chorley Council and Chorley's Angels. A refreshment van will be on site and open from 8.30am until 2pm. Refreshments are also available from the Kiosk in the Pavilion at Pet's Corner, and Cafe Ambio, by Astley Hall.
