Off road Junior Duathlon supported by former World and European Duathlon Champion Katie Hewison. Incorporating the Chorley Schools Duathlon event, held in the central park in Chorley Town Centre, for young people of all abilities from age 5.
As part of the North West Junior Triathlon Series, the Tristar categories will have both local school pupils giving Duathlon a go for the first time, alongside North West athletes who have chosen Triathon to train towards as a weekly activity. All categories will be chip timed, with the exception of the Youngsters. All young people are encouraged to complete their chosen distance and receive a medal.
The event will be held on the central field of Astley Park, Chorley, with all sections being completed on grass. Any bike type is permitted. Helmets must be worn, and bikes must be in a road worthy condition.
Organised by Chorley Athletic & Triathlon Club, the event will be run with the support of Chorley School Sport Partnership and Chorley Council. Any junior who attends a Chorley school will earn points for their Primary or Secondary school, whatever distance they complete.
Adults can take part in a GoTri event on the same day, using the same course, by registering here
